It’s where I met my wife, formed lifelong friendships, began my career through connections made there, and deepened my connection to Judaism. Camp also sparked my first meaningful connection to Israel, inspiring me to participate in Israel programs, Jewish youth groups, and join AEPi.

I bring deep appreciation for camp traditions and a clear understanding of the lasting impact camp has on a person’s life. I am committed to helping camp thrive, leveraging my time, resources, experience, and network to ensure it flourishes for generations to come.

Camp Solomon Schechter is where I met many of my best friends, and where I had my best childhood memories. I developed, strengthened, and honed my Jewish identity through my time at Camp Solomon Schechter.

I bring a deep understanding of Camp Solomon Schechter and Jewish summer camping as a whole, a strong Jewish personal network within the PNW community, and a professional background involving leading teams and P&L management.

I bring 20+ years of experience as a CPA, specializing in future planning for people and businesses. I also have 15+ years of experience serving as treasurer on Jewish nonprofit boards.

I bring experience in fundraising and community building, with a passion for strengthening connections and ensuring camp’s future through meaningful engagement.

Why does camp matter to you?

Camp provides a place where kids can be proudly and safely Jewish, building a strong Jewish identity for life. It also allows them to develop independence and confidence as they navigate social and life situations without parents stepping in.

What expertise do you bring to the board?

I have 25+ years of experience in technology and software engineering. I have also served in multiple volunteer leadership roles, including as Past President of Hillel UW, where I chaired executive search, nominations, and endowment committees. I currently serve on the board of Sephardic Bikur Holim and chair its Governance Committee.

For the past seven years, I’ve advised nonprofit marketing professionals in Jewish communities across the Pacific Northwest and around the world – from Australia to Brazil to South Africa.

With over 15 years in the technology industry and more than a decade as a people manager, I bring skills in facilitation, communication, and team-building. I focus on empowerment, accountability, and turning needs into tangible results.

I bring a love of Camp and a commitment to ensuring it continues for generations, where Judaism and joy go are one. My perspective comes from having been a camper, staff member, and active participant in Jewish communities in both Portland and Seattle.

Schechter has been a lifelong anchor for me. I believe camp should always be a place where campers, staff, and families feel fully included, safe, and celebrated for being their authentic selves. To me, Schechter is magical because it meets you exactly where you are and helps you find your people.

I bring the perspective of a lifelong Schechter participant and leader — as a camper, Oded, counselor, head staff member, alum, and now as a parent. More than anything, I bring a deep love for camp and a commitment to helping it grow and thrive for future generations.

Camp Solomon Schechter holds a very special place in our family’s heart. I first learned about CSS through my husband, a camp alum, and now I get to see our kids thrive in a supportive, nurturing, and joy-filled Jewish community.

I have served in physician leadership roles for many years and am currently my clinic’s medical director. I bring an emphasis on communication, curiosity, problem-solving, and inclusive leadership. I also serve in Jewish community volunteer roles, including as inaugural chair of OHSU’s Jewish Employee Resource Group.
