Shalom from Camp Solomon Schechter!

I wanted to let you know about some exciting additions for the summer:

  • Sports equipment for this summer has been ordered
  • The pottery kiln has been installed, so every camper will have an opportunity to do ceramics this summer.
  • We’re installing an outdoor fitness equipment trail (including ellipticals, an exercise bike, a leg press, a chest press/lat pull and more) generously sponsored by the Samis Foundation.
  •  We will host a teaching artist specializing in stage and movie makeup for a week during Gimmel session. Campers will get to practice on staff and each other! The teaching artist program is supported by a Small and Simple Grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle.

If you haven’t signed up your camper (or your nephew, niece, cousin, friend or yourself), Register Now!

Also, don’t forget to GiveBIG tomorrow, May 2!  GiveBIG is a community-wide day of giving hosted by The Seattle Foundation that will increase the size of your donation.

First, go to our page in The Seattle Foundation’s Giving Center anytime between midnight and midnight to make a contribution:  Camp Solomon Schechter

Second, rally your friends to also donate to Camp. Your support will enable more Jewish youth to experience the fun, excitement and informal Jewish education of camp.

Thank you for your generosity.

B’Shalom!

Sam
