Introducing Our New Head Chef Jessica Runions!

I went to camp one summer when I was nine years old. I loved swimming, singing and getting to make things out of wood — oh yeah, and eating!! My passion for food and cooking led me to a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu in Oregon and a career in the food industry. I now have 25 years experience working with food, seven of which have been at summer camps.

Working in a kitchen requires a lot of creativity and I enjoy the challenges that come along with cooking for large groups and accommodating special dietary needs. I am excited to be able to share my love of food at Camp Solomon Schechter this summer!
