Staff Week Highlights/One More Day Till Camp!!

We’ve had an exciting last few days here at staff week. On Thursday night we trekked down to the river for an overnight. The staff cooked burritos in tinfoil and sang classic campfire sing-alongs. We’ve been working hard to incorporate many traditional folk songs into our bonfire repertoire. Songs by Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul & Mary, and Simon & Garfunkle are welcome (re)additions to the Schechter songbook!

Shabbat was as peaceful as ever. The usual Shabbos basketball game had to be canceled due to rain, so everyone spent time together in the Chadar, playing board games, eating coffee cake and debating deeply profound philosophical questions (like, would you rather have hiccups for the rest of your life, or feel like you have to sneeze and not be able to for the rest of your life?).

The Odedim and staff ended Shabbat with a spirited Havdalah. We are so excited to finalize all the programming for the summer today in our last day of staff week, and for the kids to come TOMORROW!

Odedim and Staff end Shabbat with a ruach filled Havdalah!
