Schechter is thrilled to have selected the Madirichim for the 2014 Gesher Israel trip. Meet Haranya!

Tanya Fink:

“Two of my favorite places in the world are Israel and Camp Solomon Schechter, and I can’t wait to get the best of both as a madricha on the Gesher program this summer! I’m looking forward to the beautiful beaches in Tel Aviv, being back at the Western Wall, eating lots of falafel, learning more about the country and its history, and bringing back all of our experiences to share with the Schechter community. We are going to have a blast!!”

Tanya is currently in her senior year at the University of Colorado-Boulder, studying anthropology and peace and conflict studies. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and works at the Office of Information Technology on campus. Tanya is also active in GlobeMed, a partnership between CU students and Himalayan HealthCare in the efforts to improve the health of people living in rural Nepal.

Harel Tal:

“The Gesher program offers an all around amazing adventure that combines camp and Israel. I cannot think of a better way to spend the summer than being at camp and touring Israel with camp friends; you get the best of both worlds! I’m beyond thrilled to spend my 5th summer on staff as a madrich on the Gesher program. I am looking forward to floating in the Dead-Sea, the amazing food, the warm weather and the feeling of home Israel provides. I’m really excited for the incredible time that we are going to have and the lifetime of memories we will make. Don’t miss out!!”

Harel grew up in Zichron Ya’akov and moved to Vancouver B.C. at the age of 14 with his family. He is currently studying Law and Society and Economics at the University of British Columbia. He also works part-time at the Jewish Community Centre of Vancouver, in both the children and membership departments.
