Hello Schechter Community!
I am more than thrilled to be returning to camp this summer for my fourth year in a row on staff! Schechter has provided me with friends and memories that I will cherish for a lifetime!
A little bit about myself: I grew up in the Seattle area, but I currently live on the golden coast of California, where I attend California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. I am in my third year, working towards earning my BS in Nutrition. Here at Cal Poly, I am actively involved in the Jewish community, as well as serving on the executive board of my sorority.
This summer, I look forward to planning and creating all of the evening programs that keep campers coming back year after year, and that help to instill the magic of camp! Some of my favorite evening programs as a camper included the carnival themed nights and when the Science Center came for an awesome science filled evening! I can’t wait to be back at camp for another exciting and fun filled summer with my Schechter family!

My name is Asher Ramras, and I am one of the 2015 program supervisors at Camp Solomon Schechter. As a previous camper, cabin staff and oded mentor, I am honored to be a part of the head staff as I return to CSS for the first summer in almost ten years. The parts of camp I am most looking forward to are, of course, having a fun, safe, meaningful time with the kinderlach, enjoying beautiful Lake Stampfer, and coming together with my other staff members to help make another memorable summer for all that love CSS.
