Stayover Day

For campers who register for both Aleph Rishon and Sheni
Sunday, July 15 - Monday, July 16, 2018

For the day between Aleph Rishon and Sheni there is a choice:  Campers may stay over or go home for the night. (Stayover or Transportation fees apply.)  We strongly recommend campers stay over at Schechter to provide the full three-week experience, to keep the camp ruach (spirit) going, and to prevent homesickness. Stayover is a relaxing day of swimming, extended rest hours, laid back activities and a sleep-out before being reassigned to new cabins for Aleph Sheni.

Oded Program

For selected campers entering 11th grade
Thursday, June 28 - Sunday, July 29, 2018

This program involves an application process; not all applicants are accepted. “Oded” means to invigorate, and our highly acclaimed Counselor-in-Training and Leadership program is built to do just that. As part of a close-knit team, the Odedim live together in the Oded Village and spend a number of days on an extended outdoor adventure. The Oded program is truly a hands-on training program, as the participants plan programs, lead services, create an Oded Project, teach activities and share responsibility for a cabin of campers. As Odedim, these teens learn to look at leadership and life through a Jewish lens. Odedim will need to arrange their own transportation to and from camp.
