June 17th-June 19th, 2011
It's Really Happening! To register for the reunion, click here. It's finally happening....The Schechter Alumni Reunion! For real? Yes, Schechter is hosting and has reserved the weekend of 6/17-6/19 for their young adult alumni. A good-old-fashioned nostalgic camp weekend including your camp friends, Shabbat dinner, a Gimmel-style dance, gaga, basketball, hike to the river, the high dive, morning prayers and much, much more. Open to Schechter Alumni between the ages of 21 and 35. Cost of the weekend is $125 - Includes cabins, food, beverages, active lifeguards and much more Please note that each attendant is responsible for their own transportation to/from camp. Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Can I bring my husband/wife/significant other with me? A: Yes you certainly can, HOWEVER, the under 21 rule is being strictly enforced so no children allowed. Also, keep in mind, as this is a Camp reunion weekend we will be doing things the Schechter way. This mean that girls will be in the girls cabins and that boys will be in the boys cabins. You ARE allowed to bring boyfriends/girlfriends but please consider the fact that you may not want to have to babysit a significant other who knows no one else there. This weekend is meant for general revelry and enjoying each others company, so we would highly discourage bringing a ‘date’, or someone who you are uncertain if they will be a joy to be around all weekend long. Q: Can I request who I would like to be bunked with? A: Of course you can my friend, it’s a part of the online registration form. We can’t promise you will get everything you ask for, but you probably will. Q: Can I bring food with me? A: Nope. Here is the short answer why…… kosher, kosher, rabbi, kosher, kosher, kashrut. Please do not bring in outside food with you. All food and beverages will be provided, minus alcohol (except for wine friday night and drinks for the dance saturday). Feel free to bring your own alcoholic beverages. Q: What if I have other questions or would like to help out recruiting old camp friends, planning the weekend or for Shmira duty? A: Please leave a wall comment or email one of the following organizers: 1. David Furman - dfurman@campschechter.org 2. Danny Schauffer - dschauffer@gmail.com 3. Lewis Krell - lewiskrell@gmail.com 4. Josh Niehaus- josh.niehaus@gmail.com 5. Gilad Bernstein - giladb87@gmail.com 6. Davey Friedman- friedmda@whitman.edu 7. Caitlin Dane- caitlin.dane@gmail.com 8. Could be you?
