In Aleph, we pack an entire summer of fun into 10 days, Campers experience sports, arts, and informal Jewish learning the fun is throughout the day. There are creative and engaging evening activities every night. Aleph session will lay the foundation for many years of enriching camp experiences!
* 5th grade campers who have previously attended Aleph session are strongly encouraged to attend the Bet session.

Echad Session
For campers entering 2nd or 3rd grades!

This 5-day camp session is a wonderful introduction for the first-time camper. This session runs simultaneously with the last half of Aleph session. Echad session offers the opportunity to sample the wide variety of chugim (daily activities) and the special experience of spending a Shabbat at camp. All of our counselors are skilled at creating a warm, welcoming home away from home, and are trained to understand the needs of a first-time camper, but the Echad staff is some of our most skilled counselors.

Bet Session
For campers entering 5th, 6th or 7th grades!

Bet campers experience everything Schechter has to offer in this exciting 3-week session. In addition to the variety of chugim (activities), Bet campers also enjoy a hiking and overnight camping adventure at our camp site by the river. They also have a dance. Bet campers enjoy three Shabbat experiences at camp, which allows for a submersion of a Jewish existance. Bar and Bat Mitzvah tutoring is available during this session.

Gimmel Session
For campers entering 8th 9th and 10th grades!

The Gimmel session brings the Schechter experience to a climatic level! Gimmel has an advanced, interactive, and creative Judaic program. Gimmel campers are always asking questions and exploring their own Jewish identity. While building their commitment to Jewish values and learning to comfortably express the spirit of being part of the Jewish people, the Gimmel camper can solidify their passion for being Jewish. All Gimmel campers enjoy an overnight campout, and 10th graders look forward to an extended out-of-camp camping and hiking adventure. Gimmel session becomes the most anticipated sessionm of the CSS experience.

Oded Program
For campers entering the 11th grade
This program involves an application process; and not all applicants are accepted.

Oded (encourage and invigorate) is Camp Solomon Schechter’s highly-acclaimed Counselor-in-Training and Leadership program. The Odedim (plural for Oded) live in the Huppin Oded Village. The Oded program is truly a hands-on training program, as the participants plan programs, lead services, create an Oded Project, teach activities, and share responsibility for a cabin of campers. The group spends five days on an extended outdoor back country camping and hiking adventure. Odedim learn to look at leadership and life through a Jewish lens. Upon completion, participants may request a certificate of community service hours. Many Odedim return to camp to work as staff in subsequent summers.
