Support Camp Solomon Schechter Scholarship Fund and Give the Gift of Camp!

Your donation provides camp scholarships for kids in financial need. A $100 donation provides one day of camp for one camper. The cost for a first time young camper to attend is $1000. By supporting our Scholarship Fund, you are setting the foundation for a child to develop their Jewish identity.

You can make a donation directly to the Camp Solomon Schechter general scholarship fund, or you can choose to contribute to a more specific Scholarship Fund (see list below).

Donations can be placed in honor/tribute or memory of someone.
Acknowledgement cards will be sent.

Bobby Rosenthal Memorial Fund: Bobby grew up attending Camp Solomon Schechter. Your participation in the fund will allow deserving children with financial need to attend camp and perpetuate Bobby’s memory. You may indicate a preference that your donation be directed toward a child from Tacoma, or from another community.

Garry and Judith Kahn Incentive Fund: For first time campers in Portland. Established by their children in honor of their parents, Garry and Judith Kahn, in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mackoff Memorial Fund: Established in loving memory of Amy Mackoff by her family.

Rebecca Menashe Scholarship Fund: Established in loving memory of the late Rebecca Menashe.

Stampfer Scholarship Fund: A meaningful way to honor the founding leadership and continued devotion of Rabbi and Goldie Stampfer.

Synagogue Scholarship Funds: Helps children in various communities.

Congregation Beth Shalom First Timer Camper Fund: For new campers affiliated with Congregation Beth Shalom in Seattle, WA
Har El First Time Camper Fund: For new campers coming from North and West Vancouver, Canada.
Herzl Ner Tamid First Timer Fund: For new campers affiliated with Congregation Herzl Ner Tamid in Seattle, WA
Neveh Shalom First Time Camper Fund: For new campers affiliated with Congregation Neveh Shalom in Portland, OR
Temple Beth Shalom Scholarship Fund: To assist and encourage campers in Spokane, WA to spend summers at Camp Solomon Schechter.

General Fund

Your donation improves camp for today’s campers, adds special programming and activities and helps keep camp tuition affordable.

New this year: Tamir Goodman, “The Jewish Jordan” Basketball player!

Each year Schechter hires Israeli Scouts to teach first-hand about life in Israel. They infuse Hebrew into our camp day and instill a sense of pride in Israel for our campers and staff. Your support of the Friends of Schechter Annual fund and General Camp Support helps provide these unique programs and truly makes a difference in the experience of our campers!
